If you are constantly looking for amazing adventures and you are not scared of the dizzy heights, then the “Zipline Sicilia” suits you.
It is located within the district of San Mauro Castelverde, few steps from the marvellous Cefalù, in the heart of the Madonie park.
It is the only zipline on the Italian territory, its start is at 925 metres above sea level and it branches off for over 1600 metres until it reaches an altitude of 260 metres above sea level, but mind you: the flight can reach a speed of 130 km/h, ideal only for the bravest!
But the San Mauro Castelverde Zipline does not just stop there, it is a real jewel within unspoilt nature: the Zipiline from whose summit you can admire the Aeolian Islands and Ustica in the distance, and then dive into the lush and wild nature of Madonie is surrounded by the natural blue of the sea.
That is why the flight is not only a daring and adrenalin-pumping experience, but also a breath-taking traverse through the wild forests and the highest peaks of the Sicilian panorama, from the Madonie to the Nebrodi.
There are two kinds of jump possible:
- the classic angel flight, both single and double;
- the seated flight, single only.
The Zipline is accessible to everyone, you only need to weight between 40 kg and 120 kg for the angel flight and from 60 kg up to 120 kg for the seated flight.
Moreover, also people affected by a motor handicap have the possibility of taking the seated flight.
Minors can jump alone only if authorized by a parent.
You don’t have to worry about anything, since the flight price includes: technical equipment, insurance, and the shuttle that will take you back to your starting point after the flight. For a surcharge of 15 euro, you can rent a GoPro to film the launch and you will get an SD card with the video of your flight on it as a gift.
